HISTORY
Tuniche seed services is a family owned Chilean Company that has been in the seed business since 1962 dealing in corn, sunflower and soybeans.
Since 1993, we have been building close relations with Seed Companies in the Northern Hemisphere which has permitted to collaborate with their Hybrid Seed Production, Research, Testing and Breeding programs.
Our customers have been able to receive a high quality product at the right time for their marketing needs, to be updated with the new technology genetics and techniques, to improve their inventory management and successfully replace any production failure in their own countries.
Tuniche seed services firmly believes that reliability and performance are the pillars on which trust is built and long term relationships are formed. Our professional team is fully dedicated to satisfy any customer needs and render the best possible service.
90´s.
- Mr. Victor C. Alamos joined the family business, forming the company “SEMILLAS TUNICHE”. Efforts are oriented to overseas business development (1993).
- “Semillas Tuniche” built a state of the art corn seed processing facility, oriented to supply winter production seed services, to USA and European Seed Companies (1996, 1998).
2000´s
- A division oriented to winter nursery seed services is opened.
- A seed research station in Arica, north of Chile is opened. It is possible to supply two growing seasons per year.
- Continuous growing in Tuniche seed services business, handling 7,500 acres of commercial seed corn production; 200 parent seed isolations and 162,000 nursery rows.
- Every year facilities keep expanding.
